The Burn Foundation sponsors a variety of activities
designed to introduce fire safety and prevention
throughout the State, provide continuing education
programs for firefighters and members of the medical
profession, as well as support those who have suffered
burns.
–To
celebrate Burn Awareness Week each February, Saint
Barnabas Burn Foundation and the Aluminum Cans
for Burned Children (ACBC) sponsor an annual Burn
Awareness Poster Contest for New Jersey’s
4th, 5th and 6th grade school children. These young
artists are honored at a luncheon sponsored by
the Saint Barnabas Burn Foundation. To

Each
year the Burn Foundation sponsors a summer camp
experience for several children who have recovered
from severe burns. Positive self-esteem gained
from several weeks at camp represents continued
recovery for these children. To

The
Burn Foundation also sponsors annual continuing education
programs for physicians, nurses, emergency
medical personnel and firefighters throughout the
region. All of the programs meet state and national
requirements for continuing education credits.
